Named Clothing: Alexandria Peg Trousers + Track Shorts

15.00 24.00

This pattern includes two variations: casual peg trousers and relaxed shorts. Both styles have a loose, relaxed fit with normal rise, four pleats at the front waist, curved front pockets, and an elastic waist with a drawstring closure. The trousers have narrow legs, while the shorts have patch pockets on the back and an uneven dolphin hem. We recommend a light or medium weight woven or knit fabric, such as crepe, satin, or other fabric that drapes well. For a sporty look, use sweatshirt jersey.

Pattern includes US sizes 0-18 (EUR sizes 32-50/UK sizes 4-22)

Difficulty Level: Simple

Materials:

  • Trouser fabric: 2 ¼ yards for sizes 0-4, 2 ½ yards for sizes 6-10, and 2 ¾ yards for sizes 12-18
  • Short fabric: 1 ½ yards for sizes 0-12 and 1 ¾ yards for sizes 14-18
  • Pocket fabric
  • Fusible interfacing
  • Elastic
  • 75” of drawstring cord

Designed by sisters Saara and Laura Huhta, Named is a Finnish DIY fashion label that produces patterns for fashion clothing. Named garments are a combination of Scandinavian clean-lined simplicity and interesting details. The aim of the collections is to bring a new perspective to making one’s own clothes and to support ethical and ecological consuming in contrast to a clothing industry focused on fast fashion.

Named releases two main collections a year. The patterns have five levels of difficulty, which allows anyone from a beginner to a more experienced sewer to find patterns suited to their skill level. Patterns come with a comprehensive instructions booklet that includes for example detailed and illustrated sewing instructions, cutting layout, material consumption chart, and finished measurements for all sizes. The patterns and instructions are designed and printed in Helsinki, Finland.
